OUR TEACHING PHILOSOPHY To us, teaching is like pottery. This metaphor simply describes our approach to teaching. Our pupils are the raw materials -clay. Our goals are to introduce each child to a world larger than their own experience. A world thatexpels” trapped air” –rote learning (memorization of facts) from their minds through an atmosphere that fosters analyzing, evaluating and creatingusing different teaching and learning techniques and tools, helping them to reach their highest potentials (understanding of principles).

There are wide regional variations in the properties of raw materials used for the production of pottery, and this can lead to wares that are unique in character to a locality. This metaphor keeps us aware of types of students in a class -the struggling, the smart and the slow learners; and helps us to design inclusive, engaging and inspirational instructional strategies that promote and motivate critical thinking and problem solving skills. With our help, they'll feel safe to take risks, express their views, work well with others and become a community of learners in which mutual respect and self-worth prevail. Eventually they will apply what they have learned to promote the wellbeing of the society.

Since technology supports and promotes learning activities, we use video clips and scientific websites to make a concept very easy to teach and learn. The concepts are brought alive, presented in a way students can relate to, and more readily learn and retain. We are focused on practices that help students effectively analyze, evaluate and apply knowledge to attain their full potentials.
